Due to Covid-19, OTBA cancels the Ivan Nelson
Provincial Youth Tournament for March 2021.

February 3, 2021

The OTBA Board of Directors has voted to cancel the Ivan Nelson Provincial Youth Tournament scheduled for March 2021.  Please pass this along to all of your members as soon as possible.

Due to the cancellation of the Canadian Youth Championships by the Canadian Tenpin Federation earlier this week we felt this was the best option.

Our duty is to make sure that all of our members, families, friends and the community are protected and we must follow all of the Ontario Public Health unit's guidelines.

This notice will be posted on the OTBA Facebook page today.  Please direct any questions to am@otba.ca.  Everyone must wear a mask, wash their hands, social distance and stay at home during this lockdown so we can defeat this virus soon.

Thank you all for supporting OTBA.

Due to Covid-19, OTBA cancels the Doug Imms Memorial
Provincial Youth Tournament and the OTBA Adult Tournament, for May 2021.

January 22, 2021

The OTBA Board of Directors has voted to cancel the Doug Imms Memorial Provincial Youth Tournament and the OTBA Adult Tournament, both scheduled for May 2021 at Rev's Rose Bowl in Windsor.  Please pass this along to all of your members as soon as possible.

This decision was not made lightly.  Because of the rising number of cases in Ontario and the fact that the vaccine will not be available to all Ontarians until at least September, we felt that it was necessary.

Due to Covid-19, OTBA Cancels Jack Erb Memorial Ontario Seniors Tournament

August 20, 2020

The Board of Directors of Ontario TBA have voted to cancel the Jack Erb Memorial Ontario Seniors Tournament that was to be held on Oct. 24 & 25, 2020 at Burlington Bowl. We do this to keep our bowlers, their families and the community safe from the COVID-19 pandemic. This was not an easy decision to make because this tournament is one of the best in Ontario and we have all come to know and love the bowers who attend each year. We will be back in October, 2021 so all of you seniors bowlers out there stay safe, stay home and stay healthy so that we can get together next year!

Due to Covid-19, OTBA Cancels Two Association Tournaments

March 31, 2020

The Ontario Tenpin Bowling Association (OTBA) is cancelling the following Association Tournaments due to COVID-19 safety concerns:

  • The Doug Imms Memorial Ontario Annual Youth Championship Tournament

  • The Ontario Provincial Championship Tournament

Both of these tournaments were to be held in May, 2020 and are being cancelled.  The OTBA made this difficult decision out of concern for the health and safety of our members, their families and local communities.

All those who have already paid entry fees will be contacted and a full refund will be provided.

Previous message from March 16:

Due to the many concerns regarding the COVID-19, the decision has been made to cancel the Ontario Youth Singles tournament scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Classic Bowl in Mississauga. The health and safety of our youth must be our main concern. Full refunds will be mailed out to the coaches who submitted them and cheques not yet deposited will be returned. At this time, the Doug Imms Memorial Ontario Youth tournament being held in May at Rev's Rose Bowl in Windsor will be held as scheduled. Please pass this info on to youth leagues and youth bowlers in your area. Thank you - the OTBA Board of Directors.
